DESIGNED FOR PROFESSIONALS ON FILM SETS

We designed the Reflex to support our needs on set - enclosed for safety and durability, fast payload changes, compact footprint to fit in tight spaces, and fast to set up and break down.

FLY CAMERAS AND LENSES DPs ACTUALLY WANT TO USE:

We get asked to fly a wide variety of cameras and lenses. Reflex's very high power-to-weight ratio enables it to carry a large payload for its compact size.

Fly the Alexa Mini, Red Komodo X, FX6, Freefly Ember and many other specialty systems with your favorite light-weight Spherical or Anamorphic glass.

SENSOR-BASED FLIGHT:

Inside the Proto Reflex is the mRo H7 Flight controller, running Ardupilot with intelligent sensor fusion and reliable failsafes, including RTH, Auto Land, and Hover & Land.

Reflex will be equipped with a top-of-the-line F9P RTK GPS (V4 prototype shown above with Here3+)

For precision altitude hold, Reflex has a laser rangefinder, and has Optical flow sensors for indoor and poor GPS environment position hold.

For additional reliability, Reflex has fully featured telemetry with critical data such as RSSI, LQ, Voltage, Direction home, Distance home, Rangefinder Altitude, and more. Telemetry data can be displayed on FPV OSD or on OpenTX radios using CRSF.

For updates, sensor calibration and radio setup, Reflex has onboard WIFI.

FLIES SMALL, LANDS EASY:

With a smaller footprint than the DJI MAVIC, Reflex's low profile frame can fit into almost any shot scenario. Its compact frame size reduces weight and increases agility.

 Because all moving parts are contained within the exoskeleton, a pilot can confidently fly in tight situations without the fear of prop strikes.

Without the need for protruding landing gear, flight low to the ground is very forgiving and it can land just about anywhere.

Additionally,  Reflex can easily be hand launched and hand caught with ease. 

RUGGED CONSTRUCTION - INSIDE & OUT

Reflex is designed from the ground up as an enclosed drone. It utilizes an exoskeleton design which helps protect close proximity talent and set. This also allows for bumps and small collisions without resulting in a crash.

The double trussed design creates an extremely durable and lightweight frame that can stand up to the harsh demands of any set.

All electronics are enclosed from the environment for longevity and reliability.

Additionally, extensive measures have been taken for temperature management.

MODERN FPV SYSTEMS:

Reflex comes with the Walksnail Avatar (v1 or v2). We use the Walksnail system because it enables a dual monitor setup (FPV, and camera operator's frame). This helps the pilot fly the correct speed when leading or flying besides cars during tracking shots - especially when the pilot is taking a different line than the car is taking.

Alternatively, for those who prefer the DJI O3, we can build that in as well.

Reflex's in-air tiltable FPV camera provides the flexibility to navigate through complex environments at a variety of speeds.

FLEXIBLE MOUNTING OPTIONS:

Depending on the needs of the DP, gimbal and camera can be top or bottom mounted. 

Using the Proto Battery Sled, batteries are mountable on the top and bottom in the center configuration, for optimum COG. Batteries can also be mounted using the NATO mount rails on the top of the drone in saddle configuration.

OPTIMIZED FOR MAXIMUM FIELD OF VIEW:

When top-mounted, Reflex's inboard antennas and folding handles provide the camera operator the most un-obstructed view possible.

CASE TO AIR:

With no assembly required out of the case, Reflex can be mounted and flying in minutes. 

FUNCTIONAL LIGHTING:

Reflex is equipped with headlights to help navigate complex environments at night and low light conditions. The 1000 lumen lamps can be quickly dimmed and shut off during flight.

On the rear of the aircraft is a large indicator light for at-a-glance system status.

Reflex's side handles are also lit for easy and safe hand launching & catching scenarios. In addition, two ground-facing lamps assist sensors and pilots in low light environments.

ACCESSIBLE & REPAIRABLE:

Reflex is not a one-piece drone- it is designed to be modular and repairable. Designed with hardware and software upgrades for years to come.
